Chairman of the Board
Ms. Dominguez succeeded her beloved father, the late H. Frank Dominguez, to serve as Chairman of the Board. In her role, she oversees all offices throughout the United States and internationally in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
An avid philanthropist and active member of various community improvement projects, boards and commissions, Ms. Dominguez has a particular interest in aiding the Hispanic community and helping others. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for both American River Bank and PRIDE Industries and is involved with several organizations, including the Young Presidents Organization and New America Alliance, among others.
Guy Mehula, PE
With more than 35 years of executive-level experience in the construction industry, Mr. Mehula serves as President in charge of all operations for the company. He has spent his career involved in a number of high-profile projects around the world, heading up teams and producing award-winning results. With an accomplished engineering background, he has played a major role in leading complex organizations with varied facility management missions.
Retiring as a Captain in the United States Navy’s Civil Engineer Corps, Mr. Mehula spent 25 years managing large-scale international assignments, providing him the characteristics that have contributed to his success. He is a proven leader, recognized for his innovative thinking and wealth of global expertise, a key factor in his ability to improve business processes and enhance productivity.
Alexander Leon, MPA
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
As Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Leon is in charge of company-wide financial operations, including cultivating banking relationships and arranging proper financing. With a 25-year background specializing in construction finance, he plays a key role in the growth of Vanir and serves on the Board of Directors. He holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California.
Mr. Leon is a member of several associations, including the American Management Association, Construction Financial Management Association, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Treasury Management Association, and is actively engaged in various community improvement projects. He also holds leadership roles within the Vanir Group of Companies, Inc., including President of Vanir Development Company and Vanir Energy.
Pamela Sammons, JD
Vice President of Administration
With more than 30 years of experience in the construction management industry, Ms. Sammons serves as Vice President of Administration, in charge of establishing general administrative systems and procedures to support corporate objectives. Her primary areas of responsibility include talent acquisition, human resources, and contract review and administration.
In addition to developing contracts for professional consultant services, Ms. Sammons has authored countless guidelines, policies, and procedures. She is passionate about helping employees attain both personal and professional goals. She holds a Juris Doctor from Lincoln Law School of Sacramento.
Steve Whitehead, PE, CCM
Chief Operating Officer
Serving as Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Whitehead is a Certified Construction Manager and Registered Professional Engineer with more than 30 years of experience in the design and construction industry. In this role, he oversees company-wide operations and manages the internal departments that support Vanir’s project teams.
Mr. Whitehead focuses on streamlining efficiencies and optimizing client satisfaction. He has developed excellent client relationships and built a strong track record of success, having led the charge of several award-winning projects. He has worked hand-in-hand with both public and private owners and has extensive knowledge of the project life cycle. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and is an active member of the National Society of Professional Engineers.
Judith Wallace, CCM
Chief Marketing Officer
As Chief Marketing Officer, Ms. Wallace oversees and supports all marketing and business development efforts, company-wide. With Vanir since 1992, she has performed in various positions within project operations and brings nearly 30 years of industry experience. Joining Vanir’s marketing department in 2013, she is a Certified Construction Manager with a Master of Science in Construction Management from Texas A&M University; she also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Wake Forest University.
Committed to advancing professionalism within the construction management industry, Ms. Wallace serves on the National Board of Directors of the Construction Management Association of America and is a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services.
